Lexden RFC Open 2022

Lexden Rackets and Fitness Club is proud to announce that we’ve partnered with Anglian Flight Centres to deliver the 2022 Lexden RFC Open. The event will feature up and coming professional squash players looking to gain valuable ranking points on the PSA Tour. There are two draws, open to 32 men and 32 women respectively.

The 2021 edition was won by Scottish pair of WR113 Katriona Allen, and ex pro but unranked qualifier Jamie Henderson. It featured the best of local talent including up and coming local juniors Lara Newton, Joel Braddock and Stan Sykes to name a few. This year, locals Daryl Selby and Owain Taylor headline the men’s draw while Amna Fayyaz and last year’s runner up Sofia Pita headline the women’s.

Thanks to the support of Anglian Flight Centres we are able to offer a $1000 prize fund for both men’s and women’s draw, in line with our shared goals of promoting parity in sport and opportunity for the young players in our area.

Anglian Flight Services offer complete Private Pilot’s License (PPL) instruction including beginner tuition, ground-based theory, and all aspects of instructed and solo flight right up to advanced PPL, varying aircraft types and night flying.

They also offer gift vouchers and fun experiences including aerial tours of the White Cliffs of Dover, tour of WW2 Airfields, Biplane flights and Harvard Warbird experiences.
