6-9th March had 48 of the best English squash players make their way to Lexden Rackets & Fitness Club for the England National Championships 2025.

The Mens final saw brother Curtis and Perry Malik go head to head, with Curtis being the favourite with a current World Ranking of 36. Perry (WR 109) put up a brilliant fight to take the win 3-2.

The Womens final witnessed Mariam Eissa (WR 233) beat Olivia Besant (WR 170) 3-1, where both players had beaten the number 1 and 2 seeds in the semi finals respectively.

Colchester was well represented with players in the Mens and Womens, with Michael Tallentire beating the 3/4 seed to reach the Quarter Finals, Stan Sykes beating a seeded player to make the second round and Lara Newton making the Womens Quarter Finals.

At the same time of hosting some of the best squash players across England, Lexden Rackets and Fitness also hosted a Graded Tournament on Saturday 8th March, with players from as far as Newcastle to travel to Colchester to compete. There were wins for local players Dan Wheeler, Steve Snelling, Max Newton, Mike Booth, Keanan Wood, Amy Aspinall, Joe Bateman, Elli Barrott Marek Sobieraj, Louise Hunt, William Rogers, Mark Rogers and Oscar Atkinson
