2023 Lexden RFC Open

Attention all squash fans!

The Lexden Rackets and Fitness Club is thrilled to announce that the highly anticipated 2023 Lexden RFC Open is just around the corner. We’ve teamed up with Wright Ruffell (Strurricks) Ltd to bring you this must-see event featuring some of the best up-and-coming professional squash players in the game today.

The 2023 tournament is set to be bigger and better than ever before, with two draws open to 32 men and 32 women respectively. This year’s event promises to be jam-packed with intense matches and nail-biting action, as these talented players look to gain valuable ranking points on the PSA Tour.

After the success of the 2021 and 2022 editions, we can’t wait to see what this year’s competition will bring. The 2021 edition saw WR113 Katriona Allen and unranked qualifier Jamie Henderson take home the title, while in 2022, WR113 Lowri Roberts and Daryl Selby claimed the championship. The event also showcased the best of local talent, including rising stars Lara Newton, Joel Braddock, and Stan Sykes.

All players competing in the pro event are PSA members, and entries can be made via the PSA Player Portal. But don’t worry, there are still limited wildcard spaces available for club members, meaning there will be some local players competing as well.

Thanks to the generous support of Wright Ruffell (Strurricks) Ltd, we’re thrilled to offer a $1000 prize fund for both the men’s and women’s draws. This aligns with our shared goals of promoting parity in sport and providing opportunities for young players in our community.
